Construction across southern Connecticut, from the shoreline to the corporate corridor
Reyvant Construction Group builds and renovates residential and commercial projects from Greenwich to New London, working with the terrain, housing stock, and approval process specific to each town.
Southern Connecticut is not one market. A backcountry Greenwich estate on ledge and a Wooster Square two-family in New Haven start from opposite ends of the construction spectrum, and a Stamford tenant fit-out on the fourteenth floor of a downtown tower has almost nothing in common with a Compo Beach teardown in Westport. We work across this range rather than specializing in one slice of it.
Our services include whole-home renovation, additions, kitchens, baths, basements and attics, and exterior work such as roofing, siding, windows, and decks, along with new home construction, custom and semi-custom homes, spec builds, and teardown-rebuild projects. On the commercial side we handle tenant fit-out, retail and restaurant build-out, office, medical and dental, multifamily, and ground-up commercial work.
We serve this part of the state as an extension of our Rhode Island base, coordinating through general contracting, design-build, construction management, or preconstruction depending on what the owner and the site require. We are fully insured and bonded here, and we are EPA Lead-Safe Certified (RRP) for work on the region's older painted surfaces.
Regional knowledge
Building across Southern Connecticut
Different parts of one state can present completely different sites, structures and operating conditions.
Gold Coast / Fairfield County
Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield sit along this stretch of I-95 and the coastline, and the range is wide: multi-acre wooded and ledge parcels, dense corporate downtowns, harbor-adjacent commercial districts, and shoreline homes facing flood and elevation questions. Finish expectations and approval timelines both tend to run long here.
Greater New Haven
New Haven's core is dense two- and three-family housing wrapped around a large institutional and medical employment base tied to Yale and the surrounding hospital district. Renovation work here often means navigating older masonry, narrow urban lots, and historic districts like Wooster Square, while commercial work skews toward offices and medical space rather than retail towers.
Southeastern shoreline toward Mystic and New London
Moving east toward New London and Mystic, the coastline turns more rural and maritime, with older shingle-style and colonial homes, working waterfronts, and a smaller-scale commercial market built around tourism and boating. Salt exposure, seasonal occupancy, and older septic and well systems shape a different kind of planning than the Gold Coast towns require.

Conditions we plan around
- 01Shoreline flood zone rules affect elevation and rebuild decisions from Greenwich to New London.
- 02Ledge and glacial till are common in backcountry and inland Fairfield County parcels.
- 03Many pre-1978 homes here require lead-safe planning before painted surfaces are disturbed.
- 04Local historic district review can lengthen approval timelines in shoreline and downtown areas.
- 05Coastal salt air accelerates wear on poorly detailed roofing, siding, and trim assemblies.
Questions
Building in Southern Connecticut
What parts of Connecticut does Reyvant Construction Group serve?
We serve southern Connecticut only: the Gold Coast towns of Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield, Greater New Haven, and the southeastern shoreline toward Mystic and New London. We do not claim coverage of the rest of the state. Our principal office remains in downtown Providence, and we travel into Connecticut for residential and commercial work.
Do you build custom homes in Connecticut or just renovate existing ones?
Both. We build custom and semi-custom new homes, spec builds, and teardown-rebuild projects, and we also renovate existing houses of every era, from shoreline cottages to backcountry estates. Which approach makes sense depends on the site, the existing structure, and the owner's goals, and we can help evaluate that during preconstruction.
Can you handle a commercial tenant fit-out in a Connecticut office building?
Yes. We build tenant fit-out, retail and restaurant build-out, office, medical and dental, and multifamily projects across the towns we serve, including downtown Stamford and New Haven's institutional corridor. We coordinate with property management, building engineers, and existing systems so the work fits around an operating building.
How do you handle historic district or coastal approvals in Connecticut?
Requirements vary town by town. Many shoreline towns review flood elevation and rebuild scope, and several downtowns and older neighborhoods have historic district or architectural review. We confirm the applicable process with the local building department and any review board before finalizing a design, rather than assuming one town's process applies to another.
